Many people rely on their swimming pool not only for recreation, but also as an important part of maintaining their health, mobility and independence.
In this case, our client treasures the time spent with her grandchildren in the pool, and her therapist had recommended regular pool-based exercises to help maintain flexibility and support ongoing mobility.
The challenge was entering and exiting the pool safely and confidently. The client’s Occupational Therapist approached us to find a practical solution that would provide additional support without impacting the enjoyment of the pool.
After assessing the space, we installed a stainless steel pool rail specifically designed to extend into the water, allowing the client to maintain a secure grip throughout the transition into and out of the pool. The rail was positioned to ensure it could be reached comfortably and provide support exactly where it was needed most.
Pool rails can make a significant difference for people with reduced mobility, balance concerns or recovering from injury. By improving stability and confidence, they help make aquatic exercise and family activities more accessible and enjoyable.
A little help really does go a long way.
